Membership/Volunteer Advantages

In high school, effective communication among parents, teachers and students can be very challenging.  Membership in the PTSA can help all of us to better connect with each other. 

The Folsom High PTSA Membership Advantage

Your PTSA membership will introduce you to a population of parents who are committed to being involved with their students during high school.   

• Connect with the school, the principal and the staff.

• When parents are involved, students achieve more.

• Members only access to certain PTA websites which provide information on issues affecting teens.

• Connect with parents of students.

• Receive special pricing discounts for certain items/services. (Southwest Airlines vacations, Liberty Mutual Insurance and others.)

• Your $10 membership fee helps us to underwrite our operating costs and give more to the school.

The Volunteer Advantage

PTSA provides you with a variety of activities from which to be involved. 

You can attend a football game and help us sell Bulldog apparel, tutor a student, assist in the library, be a monitor during testing, or choose a one time event to work on!  We encourage you to complete the volunteer portion of the Membership/Volunteer Form

In addition, the PTSA continues to support a wide variety of programs and services including: Senior Breakfast, Sober Grad, Reflections, College Night, Annual Speaker Presentation and website newsletter communications

Donations/Gifts in Kind & Escrip

The need for donations never stops!

Gifts in kind: If you, your business or someone you know, would like to make a designated contribution to our PTSA fund, please contact Donna Thompson at thompsons5@sbcglobal.net We have a complete listing of “wish” lists, operational needs, sponsor opportunities and other ideas of how to financially assist Folsom High School. We appreciate your interest.

Escrip: Electronic Scrip Inc. is a California company dedicated to providing resources to organizations and projects that support children. Escrip will contribute a percentage of your grocery cards, credit cards and ATM purchases to the organization of your choice. You can donate to Folsom High in the normal course of your shopping!

The Bulldog eBash

This popular, annual event is our main money maker of the year.

The Bulldog Bash will be on Friday, February 27, 2009, at the Folsom Community Center.  Invitations will be mailed to all Folsom High School parents in early January.  Gourmet dinner,live music and dancing, on-line silent auction,and rollicking live auction make this a great evening for a great cause!

High profile sponsorships give businesses a highly effective way to reach this active Folsom community. If you want sponsorship information or wish to donate an auction item, contact Donna at thompsons5@sbcglobal.net

All proceeds are designated for Academic Divisions, the library and student clubs.  

Where Your Money Does

The PTSA is the only school organization which directs all of its proceeds to every student and teacher at Folsom High.

Funding of School Divisions - The 2008-2009 school year

Every division at Folsom High School received a $1000 donation. This includes Fine Arts, Library, Health and Physical Education, Counseling, Career/Technical Education, English, World Languages, Special Education, Math, Science and Social Science.
