API Test Results

Our API test results.  861  That's a growth of 18 points over last year!  "Unprecedented", according to the district office!  We ranked 2nd in Sac. county - the school that came in ahead of us is a charter school.

Health and Safety Links

Folsom High School Health Office: You may reach our school nurse,  Patti Morton, RN, MSN SNc, as a confidential health resource for students, parents and staff on Mondays and Wednesdays, at 355-1174 ext. 3129.

Our School Health Assistant, Jacqueline Lugo is available daily from 11 AM-2 PM to assist students with medications and to provide first aid.  

The Nurse coordinates efforts to control communicable disease, checks student immunization status, provides health referrals and offers health education.  In addition, the School Nurse will develop individual plans for students with health concerns needing attention during school hours, such as asthma, diabetes, seizure disorders, etc.

Drug Abuse: This website is constantly updated with valuable and complete information on specific drugs, best ways to detect teen addictions, professional advice on teen communication, internet lingo, and getting help for substance abuse addictions.  www.theantidrug.com.

Alive at 25!  This highly acclaimed, interactive survival course, designed by the National Safety Council, is specifically designed for young drivers.   Classes are presented in Sacramento.   www.safetycenter.org/aliveat25.html

E-Monitoring: Find proven, expert advice on how to monitor your teen’s usage of myspace, the computer, etc.  Visit www.theantidrug.com. and enter E-monitoring in the subject line. 

Teens and Drugs:  Scientists from the National Institute for Drug Abuse created this site specifically for teens.  Using the advice of teens when they created this site, the information is not “preachy” but, more straight forward and scientific.  www.teens.drugabuse.gov.

Edline
The Folsom Cordova Unified School District offers Folsom High School parents and students the Edline Web Portal, a convenient tool that will enable you to view all the events from the school’s calendar, access homework assignments, access attendance and grade information and more.

This is a pilot program at Folsom High.  If your student has a teacher who is participating in Edline, the teacher will give your student their activation code.  www.edline.net.

Folsom High School PTSA Communications

Newsletter

The Folsom High PTSA produces 5 comprehensive newsletters throughout the school year.  All newsletters are delivered online.  Printed copies of the newsletter are also available at the school’s front desk and the counseling office. 

You may also access the online newsletters by using the school library computers or the public library computers.

Email Bulletins

You will also receive timely online bulletins regarding time sensitive school announcements.  Messages from the principal, the counselors and various other school resources will utilize our email bulletins to keep parents informed. 

Important:  In order to receive your online newsletter or email bulletins, parents must register with the email subscription listThe subscription list is used exclusively by the Folsom High PTSA and limited to parent communications.
